Participant Terms & Conditions
General Agreement
- I accept and agree to the following and to all of the Ronald McDonald House UK Participant Conditions of entry below.
- I understand that charity places in the TCS London Marathon 2027 are limited, subject to availability, and that this application for a place is subject to written acceptance by Ronald McDonald House UK.
Registration Fee and Refunds
- I agree to pay a £50 registration fee as acceptance of my place
- I accept my registration fee is non refundable, even in the event that I am unable to run, through injury or for any other reason.
Fundraising Commitment
- I note that Ronald McDonald House UK has the right to withdraw my place if I am not able to fundraise the minimum sponsorship target, or do not communicate my fundraising plans on how to reach the target.
- I note that Ronald McDonald House UK will take into account the sponsorship amount I expect to raise when it considers offering me a guaranteed place in the TCS London Marathon 2027, and that Ronald McDonald House UK advised individual target sponsorship is at least £2500 (in addition to the deposit fee of £50) (– applicable only to charity place runners, and not runners that have secured a place through the TCS London Marathon 2027 ballot.)
- I pledge to raise as much sponsorship as possible, over and above the £2500 minimum where able.
- I will only collect sponsorship once you have accepted my application via a welcome email and sent the fundraising link.
- I will activate my fundraising page as soon as possible and I understand there is an expectation to fundraise a minimum of £1250 (50%) at least 10 weeks prior to the day of the race (13 February 2027)
- Should I for any reason decide not to, or be unable to take part in the TCS London Marathon 2027, I will inform Ronald McDonald House UK as soon as possible and return all fundraising materials to Ronald McDonald House UK at my own cost.
Health, Fitness, and Participation
- I am currently sufficiently well and fit to participate in the TCS London Marathon 2027.
- I will adhere to any guidance relating to health, age, sponsorship or other matters issued by the race organisers or Ronald McDonald House UK.
- I agree that neither Ronald McDonald House UK nor the event organiser shall be liable for my death, personal injury or any loss or damage sustained by me as a consequence of my participation in the TCS London Marathon 2026 except to the extent that the same is caused by negligence.
Photography and Promotion
- I understand that Ronald McDonald House UK may use a photographer to film and capture images at the Event. I consent to Ronald McDonald House UK, and all of its authorised third parties, using any or all of this material for fundraising and promotional purposes. If you do not want your name and/or photo used for promotional purposes, please let Ronald McDonald House UK know by emailing events@ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org.uk
- I understand that any or all of this material will become part of Ronald McDonald House UK image library, and will be stored for a period of up to 5 years in line with our privacy policy. I further consent to Ronald McDonald House UK using my image and first name in press releases immediately following the event. If you do not want your name and/or photo used in press releases, please let Ronald McDonald House UK know by emailing events@ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org.uk.

- Depending on how you have stated you would like to hear from us – we will hold your details to keep you up to date on fundraising, news, events at Ronald McDonald House UK and other ways you can help Ronald McDonald House UK.
